Hey friends, it’s Quick Tip Tuesday, where I answer a quick question submitted by you my dear podcast listeners. If you have a question you’d like me to answer on a Quick Tip Tuesday episode, just go to my website, Angel swan.com/quick tip and submit your question. So today’s question is, Do I really need to wait to have sex? I hear this all the time. And you know what? The answer to that is? Yes. Please, God, yes. Wait, here’s why. When you give birth to your baby, you also have to like birth your placenta. During pregnancy, the placenta is attached to your uterine wall. And when you give birth, the placenta actually detaches from your uterine wall, your uterine wall, that’s hard to say, and leaves a huge gaping wound that’s about the size of a dinner plate. Now, if you have sex, or insert anything into your vagina for that matter, before being cleared by your doctor, you run the risk of getting an infection because of the wound that’s in there. That’s why your doctor will tell you not to insert anything into the vagina until at least six weeks postpartum, or until your doctor has given you the okay. So as As tempting as it may be, please don’t do it. It’s so funny, because I hear this question a lot. And then I also hear people who are like, I cannot even imagine having sex, and I’m four months postpartum. So it’s just like a spectrum. It’s very funny. But um, yeah, please wait to have sex until you’ve been cleared or until at least six weeks. Yeah, you gotta wait. Alright, if you have listened to my podcast thus far, and you haven’t taken a minute to leave me a review on Apple podcasts, please go and do that for me today. If I’ve helped you in any way, if you’ve learned something new today, the best way to support the show is to leave me a five star rating and or a written review. It just takes a minute of your time. But it makes a huge impact on my day and on the day of another mom who found my podcast because you took that time to leave a review. That is all for today’s Quick Tip Tuesday. Thank you so much for listening. I’ll talk to you soon. Bye bye.
