But listen, you and your baby really need to be getting outside every single day if you can, or at least aim for four days a week, but everyday is preferable. Right? You got to go out there and soak up some sun, even if it’s just 15 minutes a day. So let’s talk about really quick, the benefits of getting outside. First off, you get a little bit of exercise, especially if you’re babywearing right. Because you’re walking, you got weight on you. It’s a nice gentle exercise that’s moving your body. Exercise has been proven to reduce stress and anxiety. And sunlight actually raises your serotonin levels, which is the hormone that makes you feel happy and positive and calm. Being in the sun exposes you to vitamin D. And that is essential for your bones, your blood and your immune system to all function properly. I know most of you probably feel like you could lose baby weight, right? I don’t want you to feel like you need to lose the baby weight. But I feel like I just have to touch on it because it’s something that so many moms are looking for advice. How do I lose the baby weight? I’m telling you right now. Get your booty outside and move it shake it in the sunlight. All right. Where was I? Where’s my outline? Okay, so getting outside, right, sunlight better sleep. Burning calories. Now, let’s move into the social benefits of being outside. When you’re cooped up inside all day, it’s pretty likely that the only person that you’re interacting with is probably just going to be your baby. Okay. googoo. Gaga, Gaga, that’s not going to do it. So when you get outside, you have opportunities to just bump into your neighbors and have casual conversations. And those tiny bits of social interaction are good for you and they serve to boost your mood. Even if you don’t have those social interactions, Maybe nobody’s around. Being around green plants, water nature, just taking a leisurely walk through a garden can give you a boost. Being in nature helps you to feel calm and focused and grounded, which is definitely something that you need as a mom. It’s easy to feel like a crazy person. We got to stay grounded. Now do me a favor. And before you go outside and take your walk, put on some sunscreen dress for the weather because yes, you can still go outside for a 15 minute walk even in the cold even if it’s hot. Okay, if it’s cold, bundle up, and bundle your baby up. Better yet, wear your baby in like a baby wearing carrier in the cold months and keep each other nice and snuggly. You Warm, and then the hot months you can push them in a stroller, get that little fan going. And just make sure that they’re sunshades pulled up and definitely slather on your sunscreen too. So in short, getting outside for you in 15 minutes a day will help you and your baby sleep better improve your immune immune system and boost your energy. So I want to challenge you to go outside for a 15 minute walk for three days this week. And notice the way that it makes you feel then tell me how it went send me a DM on Instagram at Angel dot Swan or send an email to Angel at Angel swan.com I can’t wait to hear about your outdoor adventures.
